About Ryks
Ryks (he/him) is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) hailing from small-town Comox, BC. After obtaining his diploma in Massage Therapy from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in Victoria, he learned to love this bustling little community he now calls home. Now, as a practising healthcare professional, Ryks is dedicated to providing comprehensive rehabilitation through evidence-based manual and exercise therapies.
As a therapist, Ryks is a listener first, and a talker second, ensuring a patient-centered approach that puts the needs of those under his care foremost. A fundamental belief he holds dearly is that no patient should have to advocate for themself to get the care they deserve, and that the hard part should end as soon as they set foot in his office.
Patients who find the most success working with Ryks are those with a strong willingness to improve, whether from orthopeadic or neurological injury, pre and post-operative conditions, or chronic concerns.
Despite being new to the profession, Ryks yearns to understand the nervous system, having studied it with great curiosity through his education. In treating chronic and neurological conditions, he draws inspiration from works such as ‘The Brain That Changes Itself’ by Dr. Norman Doidge, and ‘The Master and His Emissary’ by Dr. Iain McGilchrist, leveraging neuroplasticity to improve patient outcomes.
When he’s not at work, Ryks enjoys long-distance running and swimming, exploring the beautiful Canadian west coast to which he belongs. Otherwise, you’ll find him indoors playing the guitar or enjoying a good video game.

Hi, I’m Dr. Jenna Dhillon (she/her), a naturopathic doctor with a passion for collaborative, affirming care that sees the whole person—not just symptoms. My approach is rooted in evidence-based medicine, but always guided by compassion, curiosity, and the belief that your lived experience is just as important as lab results.
I offer a wide range of naturopathic services, including IV therapy, IM injections, functional testing, botanical medicine, and pharmaceutical prescriptions. I also hold prescribing authority in BC, which allows me to integrate conventional and naturopathic tools in a truly individualized way. I have a special interest in hormone health, metabolic health, digestive wellness, and gender-affirming care—including HRT support and pre- and post-op planning. My goal is to help you feel empowered in your care and confident in your body.
Before returning to Vancouver Island, I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology at the University of Victoria. During my internship year, I was fortunate to work at Sherbourne Health, offering free care to HIV-positive patients—a powerful experience that shaped my commitment to healthcare equity and access.
Whether you’re navigating a chronic condition, seeking preventative support, or exploring what wellness can look like for you, I’m here to listen and build a care plan that feels right. I believe in taking the time to truly understand your needs and goals, and I’ll always work with you—not on you.
Outside the clinic, I’m happiest cycling the west coast, surfing, or curled up with a good book. I’m grateful to live and work on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations.
Let’s work together to help you feel good in your body, supported in your health journey, and fully seen in your care.

I’m so glad you’re here! Life can throw a lot of challenges at us, and it can be really easy to become disconnected from our bodies for a myriad of reasons in the process. As a proud queer-identifying counsellor, I strive to co-create a safer space with everyone I work with so that you are invited to connect your mind and body in a way that feels good for you. Whether that re-connection with your body is through mindfulness and somatic experiencing or making moves towards ensuring your physical body feels more like your own, it would be privilege to support you in doing so.
I prioritize actively implementing anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, queer-affirming, feminist, and strengths-based perspectives. I also am training in and regularly weave aspects of modalities like Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Emotion-Focused Therapy into my work. Prior to my years of experience as a mental health counsellor, I spent six years in the field of academic research in both psychology and social work. This experience gave me a great window into the human mind and nervous system; including the incredible benefits re-connecting with our bodies can have.
As a registered social worker, I am also qualified to provide hormone and surgical readiness assessments that have been continually accepted by medical physicians as sufficient information to initiate folks on the next step in their gender-affirming healthcare.
When I’m not supporting folks on their mental health and gender identity journeys, you can expect to see me doing my impression of either an indoor or outdoor cat. When I feel like an indoor cat, I love to read, craft, rock climb, paint, and twirl around a roller rink. My outdoor cat side loves to paddle board, hike & backpack, camp, and spend time with my chosen family.
I’m so glad you’re here! Life can throw a lot of challenges at us, and it can be really easy to b...

I grew up in Cavan, Ireland on a rural hobby farm, gleefully surrounded by many plants and animals. After my BA in Psychology, Sociology, and Politics at the National University of Ireland, Galway I was introduced (or re-introduced if you count potion making as a child) to herbal medicine and nutrition science in 2018.
A year of searching for the right school brought me here to Victoria BC where I have been living on the unceded ancestral lands of the W̱SÁNEĆ people’s and the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations since 2022. The school that encouraged me to move so far was Pacific Rim College, where I’m currently completing my final year of both Phytotherapy and Holistic Nutrition.
These comprehensive programmes have been 3+ years of learning the traditional wisdoms of herbs and food, integrating it with extensive training in biomedical sciences, and putting it into practice by providing care through the student clinic. My approach to health and wellness is one that is centred on integrating science with tradition, connecting people to the wisdom of their own bodies, to plants (as food, as medicine, as friends), and to the land - with the overarching vision of creating mutual liberation for all.
My work is also informed by the knowledge that herbalism has a long history of being the people’s medicine for healing and empowerment in an anti-colonial and anti-capitalist context. It is my aim to bring this awareness of the historical and ongoing colonial and capitalist policies that impact our food, land, and cultures into every session. It is my belief that our individual well-being allows us to be better participants in our communities - adding to the intricate web of collective care.
My personal passions include art, sea swimming, reading, floristry, crafting, poetry, music, hiking, cooking, dancing, horses, cats, local organising, justice work, decolonial learning and generally being a playful weirdo.

Hi, my name is Emily (she/her) and I’m so happy to be joining the team at Allies Integrated Health. I am an acupuncturist trained at Pacific Rim College, and I also hold a Bachelor of Science, which supports my evidence-informed and integrative approach to care. My practice is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and guided by a deep respect for the body’s wisdom and capacity to heal.
My path into holistic medicine is personal. Living with an autoimmune condition taught me firsthand the importance of listening closely to the body, supporting the nervous system, and approaching health from a whole-person perspective. This experience continues to shape how I practice, with empathy, patience, and genuine care for each individual I work with.
I offer acupuncture alongside supportive modalities such as bodywork (non-RMT massage), cupping, Gua Sha, and Reiki. Each session is tailored to meet you where you are, with the intention of creating a grounded, collaborative space where healing feels restorative and empowering.
I especially enjoy working with clients seeking support for chronic pain, muscle tension, stress, autoimmune conditions, post-surgical recovery, and life transitions. My style is best suited for those looking for personalized, thoughtful treatments rather than fast, clinical-only sessions. I love supporting people who are drawn to gentle, integrative care and who want to feel more balanced, regulated, and at home in their bodies.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy hiking, sauna sessions, spending time with friends, art and journaling, cozy coffee moments, and crocheting, practices that keep me connected, creative, and grounded in both life and work.

Hi, my name is Dakota McMillan (they/them), and I’m a massage provider at Allies Integrated Health. My practice is rooted in creating a welcoming, affirming space for all bodies and identities, with a focus on deep tissue work, myofascial therapy, and post-operative care.
I offer treatments that are both therapeutic and grounding, supporting functional healing, pain relief, and overall well-being. My approach often includes deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and active stretching, tailored to your unique needs and goals.
I recommend seeking a different practitioner if you’re searching for full body Swedish massage.
I have a strong interest in supporting individuals through both acute and chronic stages of recovery, especially those navigating post-op healing. I completed a case study exploring the effects of myofascial therapy on top-surgery scars, and I’m passionate about providing thoughtful, informed care for trans and gender-diverse patients during all stages of their healing journey.
My work is collaborative and patient-centered. Whether you’re dealing with chronic tension, recovering from surgery, managing stress in the body, or simply looking to feel more at ease, my goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and cared for.
Outside of the clinic, I’m a queer roller derby athlete and weightlifter, and I love treasure hunting at thrift stores and yard sales, spending sunny days cruising in my convertible, and enjoying cozy rainy days with books, games, or time at the arcade.
I look forward to working with you and supporting your healing in a way that feels safe, skilled, and affirming.

I’m a queer, white, non-binary voice teacher and vocalist living on the unceded traditional territories of the T’Sou-ke Nation. I graduated from Capilano University with a degree in Jazz Voice Performance in 2014 and have spent the past decade teaching voice in a variety of settings. I’m committed to ongoing learning and un-learning, and have studied methodologies like Estill and Fitzmaurice, with a special interest in body-based and non-linear approaches to voice.
In 2023, my own gender journey intersected with my teaching when I discovered that gender-affirming voice work existed (thank you, Instagram!). I completed Renee Yoxon’s Trans Voice Teacher Training and began offering gender-affirming voice lessons shortly after. Since then, I’ve continued to deepen my practice through self-study and completed the Gender Affirming Voice and Speech and Singing training for teachers and SLPs with Liz Jackson Hearns. As a non-binary person, I know what it’s like for your voice and body to feel out of sync, and I’m passionate about helping other queer and trans folks explore and expand their gender expression through voice.
My work is rooted in anti-oppressive values, activism, and a commitment to continuously unpacking my own privilege as a white settler on stolen land. I also perform and sing in a few bands and projects, including Only a Visitor, Moondle, and Streams Poetry Project. When I’m not making music, you’ll find me in the garden, walking in the woods, or crafting herbal remedies through my project Moonseed Herbals.
